Environmental Monitoring and Testing

Environmental monitoring and testing are an essential part of environmental preservation and Compliance Testing Resources offers extensive, independent environmental services and our range of services include:

Water Monitoring

  • Wastewater Analysis – Standard A/B

Wastewater Analysis is the analysis of any water that has been adversely affected in quality due to human activities. Wastewater comprises liquid waste discharged by domestic residences, commercial properties, industry, and/or agriculture and can encompass a wide range of potential contaminants and concentrations.

  • Industrial Effluent Characteristic Study

Industrial Effluent Characteristic Study is the character study of materials generally discarded from industrial operations or derived from manufacturing processes in liquid form. This study is necessary for the management and control of effluent discharge, improvement to the processes that generate the effluent, and even to the selection and design of appropriate treatment facilities. These will enable the discharged effluent to meet the quality that must be maintained in the environment. Such effluent will also meet the applicable environmental standards or discharge requirements.

Air Monitoring

  • Ambient Air Monitoring

Ambient Air Monitoring is a systematic, long-term assessment of pollutant levels by measuring the quantity and types of certain pollutants in the surrounding, outdoor air.

  • Air Emission Monitoring

Air Emission Monitoring is a process of monitoring and measuring of particulate and gaseous emissions from a specific source e.g. industrial chimneys, stacks and flues.

Noise Monitoring

  • Boundary Noise Monitoring

Boundary Noise Monitoring is a process of monitoring and measurement of the noise emitted by the industry to its surrounding areas. However, this noise is usually masked by the Ambient Noise which includes all sounds present in an environment such as traffic noise from the nearby road, forklift movement within the factory compound, etc. Typically, the noise level is higher at noon than at midnight.

Sludge Management

  • ESD (Egg-shaped Digester) Sludge Drying Minimizer

ESD (Egg-shaped Digester) Sludge Drying Minimizer is a sludge drying process, using thermal drying process in which thermal energy is delivered to the sludge in order to evaporate water. Sludge drying process reduces mass and volume of the product, making its storage, transport, packaging and retail easier and also enables incineration or co-incineration of sludge.

  • Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) for Sludge

TCLP is designed to evaluate the potential for organic and inorganic chemicals to leach from the sludge. Therefore TCLP is used to determine if the sludge exhibits hazardous characteristics and to estimate the toxicity effects for the sludges generated from effluent treatment plant. Should the results are on the higher side, proper preventive concept of sludge management including handling, treatment, recovery and disposal will be needed. TCLP procedure is generally useful for classifying waste material for disposal options.
